We meet outside on the lawn in front of the building on Thursdays from 6-8pm starting on March 18, 2021 (only one day per week for now). If it's raining we are in the large room through the double doors just off the parking lot or in our room on the third floor.
Before the pandemic we met every Tuesday and Thursday night at the Little Five Points Center for Arts and Community at 1083 Austin Avenue in Atlanta. It's on the corner of Austin and Euclid Avenues, just south of Little Five Points. Go to Google maps or get directions on getting here by MARTA (Atlanta's subway system). Our red and yellow sign is visible on the top of the building just above the parking lot.
We typically start around 6 pm and finish about 8 pm. In summer we are outside on the lawn in front of the building or in the park on Austin Ave just down the street west of the community center. In winter or when it's raining we are in our room on the third floor (the room nearest the back stairwell). There is an elevator for our building just inside the entrance off the back parking lot. Look and listen for people throwing or bouncing objects.
Meetings are free of charge and open to anyone. There's usually someone around willing to teach you the basics. Bring water because there are no drinking water fountains in the building.
After juggling meetings we go eat together at a local restaurant. Tuesdays we go to various places (usually La Fonda or Manuel's Tavern) and Thursdays we go to Savage Pizza in Little Five Points.
